ENCLOSURE. /2.
Report by the Captain Supt. of Police.
Hon. Colonial Secretary.

This case differs from the others in that the entry and the money were made at & paid at the gambling house. The entry was not actually written by Sam Yin who spent all his time at East Street.
The man Lau Yat was for many years general servant to Mr. Baboo, the Indian Interpreter and Orderly to the Captain Supt. of Police. He gave up that employ about 2 years ago. Since that he has been employed as a watcher at the Wa Lane Gambling house.
Like the rest of the intermediaries who were not arrested before they could escape, he left the Colony after Sam Yin's conviction.
I think I have a clue to who the "boy" is referred to by Sam Yin, but the individual has likewise left the Colony.
In my opinion A. S. Graham should not be re-engaged when his time expires.
This is the last of the European Police whose numbers appear on Sam Yin's list.
